Transforming Fundraising Events and Auctions to Increase Funding and Expand Relationships

Transforming Fundraising Events and Auctions to Increase Funding and Expand Relationships

Join MIE and Kathy Kingston, CAI, BAS, award winning auctioneer and fundraiser, on April 6, 2016, 2 to 3:30 pm EDT, for an interactive, content-rich, fun and profit-making fundraising webinar customized just for you so you can raise more money.

Do you host annual events or auctions to raise money and build relationships? Do you wish that you could raise more money for your organization? Do you wish that your events and auctions created stronger relationships with key members of your communities? Or, have you shied away from events, and auctions because of the work required, or because, “We have never done that before”?

This webinar will show you how to:

  • Liven up your silent and live auctions
  • Find big bidders and new donors
  • Solicit the bestselling auction items
  • Inspire your supporters with a Fund A Need
  • Make a fundraising ask with confidence
  • Energize and empower your board and teams
  • Expand your networks to support your mission
  • Shift your events from financial transactions to philanthropic transformations
  • Use a professional auctioneer to raise more money with the same items and to generate a more valuable stream of items
  • Fund your needs to meet your mission
  • Add more fun, profit and excitement

Successful fundraising and networking continues to be ever more important for legal aid organizations; this webinar will show you how to be more successful and sustainable.

MIE’s presenter for this webinar is Kathy Kingston, CAI, BAS, founder and principal of Kingston Auction Company, which has raised millions of dollars for non-profit organizations nationwide. She is the author of the Amazon bestselling book A Higher Bid: How to Transform Special Event Fundraising with Strategic Benefit Auctions, published by Wiley and AFP Association of Fundraising Professionals. Kathy is the creator of the Philanthropy Model of Fundraising Auctions. A consultant and professional fundraising auctioneer for three decades, Kathy has been awarded two of the auction industry’s major awards, the 2012 Chuck Cumberlin Memorial Award and the 2006 Rose Award from the National Auctioneers Association. She holds the Certified Auctioneer Institute (CAI) designation, held by only three percent of auctioneers worldwide. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Saint Louis University. In 2013, she was inducted into the Million Dollar Consultant Hall of Fame. Kathy writes, speaks and consults extensively on how to maximize fundraising, to engage donors and to inspire a new culture of philanthropy. Gene King is the former director of the Ohio Poverty Law Center and a legal aid lawyer and manager for more than 30 years. He is now consulting on staff development and policy advocacy with legal aid programs and nonprofit advocacy groups. Gene will facilitate this webinar.
