Staff Attorney
Description:
The Staff Attorney will provide civil legal representation to income-eligible clients with a focus on:
Landlord-tenant issues in public subsidized, and private housing. Fair housing discrimination issues Family law for Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking survivors seeking divorce and orders of protection. Collaborating with community partners and advocates. Advocating for systemic change. Serving Bedford, Coffee, Franklin, Grundy, Lincoln, Moore, and Warren counties.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD).
Admission to practice in Tennessee or eligible for admission through UBE scores or comity.
Excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills.
A demonstrated interest in public service and an understanding of issues unique to diverse economic, social, and cultural backgrounds.
Experienced litigator preferred.
Must be a team player.
A great sense of humor.
Spanish speaking a plus
