Staff Attorney
Alaska Legal Services Corporation is seeking a staff attorney to fill a new position arising from a partnership with the Mat-Su Health Foundation. The attorney will be embedded within the MSHF’s new community resource center located in Wasilla, Alaska. The attorney will provide direct legal services to low-income clients in a variety of civil legal matters based on priorities set in coordination with the community resource center staff. The attorney will also be responsible for working with staff of the community resource center to develop legal screening tools, referrals protocols, and attend outreach events. The estimated start date of the position is April 1, 2018.
Applicants must be either admitted to practice law in Alaska or admitted to practice in another state and eligible for an Alaska Bar Rule 43 waiver. Computer proficiency required (Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, Internet and e-mail, and data entry).
