Staff Attorney
Nevada Legal Services' Senior Law Project ("SLP") is seeking a staff attorney to join its office in Reno. The staff attorney will represent Seniors residing in Washoe County in various areas of law, including: housing issues; consumer issues; nursing home issues; health law; public benefits; family law; and estate planning. The SLP serves all of Washoe County and the staff attorney will share duties making presentations at all of the Senior Centers within Washoe County. The staff attorney will practice before administrative bodies, State Courts, and Federal Courts.
The successful candidate will have 0 - 3 years of experience in Elder Law, with prio experience working with a legal services organization preferred. The candidate must be barred in Nevada or eligible for Rule 72 reciprocity admission. Graduates from law school who have not yet taken the Bar will be considered, but the candidate will have to become barred within 12 months of being hired.
