MIE Webinar: Fund Development and Finance: Working Together to Raise More

Victoria Thurlow is the principal of Thurlow/Associates. Over almost 20 years, she has provided development counsel, planning and grantwriting services to nonprofit agencies of all sizes, in a variety of fields. Under her leadership, the firm has provided counsel to numerous organizations engaged in annual and capital campaigns. She has also led the successful development and implementation of major gift and planned giving programs, as well as production of award-winning newsletters and annual reports.
Victoria regularly trains board members, executive staff and internal development staff to improve performance in a competitive funding environment. She has also been involved in conducting development audits and in creating comprehensive fund-development plans for a variety of organizations.
Before opening her firm, Victoria served as director of development and marketing for The Greater Los Angeles Partnership for the Homeless, and as director of fund development and public relations for Assistance League of Southern California. She holds a master’s degree in English from The University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, a board member of The Playa Foundation, a former president of the International Association of Business Communicators/Los Angeles and a former director of the Greater Los Angeles Press Club. She is also a member of MENSA.
