Critical Performance Conversations Workshop by Beverly L. Weise, MBA, Founder and President of Leadership Talent Solutions

There are several conversations supervisors hold with their staff members throughout the year that, if done effectively, provide opportunities to strengthen performance, increase motivation and deepen commitment to the organization.    This session will enhance your knowledge, skills and comfort level in holding these important, yet sometimes difficult conversations.

• Goal Setting – helping staff member see beyond the day-to-day work to focus on performance goals and results.

• Coaching Conversations -  helping motivate staff members by actively listening to their issues and concerns, and asking questions of an appreciative nature.

• Performance Feedback – providing feedback on performance issues that is clear, direct, and reduces possible defensiveness or resistance.

• Development Conversations – Guiding a conversation with a staff member to identify development goals and establish a realistic, effective plan for closing the development gap.
