Telephone Access to Justice (TAJ) Operator
The Telephone Access to Justice (TAJ) Operator is expected to set the tone of professionalism for the TAJ General Line, and treats all persons with courtesy and respect, while respecting the confidentiality of all matters brought into TAJ General Line.
Principal responsibilities of the TAJ Operator may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Operate communication equipment or system

Answers incoming calls to the main TAJ general phone line, directs and transfer calls, provide information, and takes messages when necessary;

Relate or route written or verbal messages;

Place telephone calls or arrange conference calls as instructed;

Determine nature and purpose of call, obtain information from data base, and transfer the calls appropriately;

Maintain records or log of all phone calls;

Maintain in/out board or log indicating whether staff is in or out of the office;

Alerts staff when incoming calls and when someone leaves a message related to a case or matter;

Coordinate and provide logistical assistance for projects and initiatives within the TAJ project, and
-
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

Type minimum of 30 words per minute

Experience with Microsoft Office 365

Preference given to persons with high school degree or equivalent

Bilingual in English and Spanish

Experience providing customer and personal service
