Supervising Attorney (Detention and Removal Defense)
Legal Services of New Jersey, with offices in Edison and Newark, is a non-profit that provides free civil legal assistance to low income New Jerseyans, has an immediate opening for an experienced attorney to provide supervision on immigration detention and removal cases involving families and children.

The supervising attorney will be responsible for mentoring and supporting our team of attorneys and paralegals on family law matters as they relate to removal and detention cases before EOIR, the BIA, and federal district court. The position will require travel to the immigration courts in Newark and Elizabeth, as well as to superior courts and detention centers throughout the state. LSNJ is based in Edison with additional offices in Newark within walking distance from Newark Penn Station. The strongest candidates will have related experience, such as family law practice, removal defense, criminal defense, or federal practice.
