Position Responsibilities: Represent low-income victims/survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking in divorce and parenting (custody) cases, administrative  hearings and other civil legal cases; community engagement and education, including building partnerships with community health centers, local police departments, courts, crisis centers, and culturally specific community groups. Travel within the state and to national conferences will be necessary.

NHLA’s Background: Recognized nationally for our achievements, NHLA has a proud history of aggressive, creative advocacy for low-income and elderly clients in federal and state courts, as well as legislative and administrative forums. NHLA’s resources are primarily focused on housing, health, income benefits, elder law, domestic violence, and public utilities. NHLA operates five branch law offices and a number of statewide projects. NHLA’s Domestic Violence Advocacy Project represents victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking in family court and other related proceedings.
