Staff Attorney

1. This is a grant-funded, contract position for an attorney admitted in AZ or with two or more years’ experience while licensed in another jurisdiction. The grant may be annually renewed, but is initially for one year. 2. The attorney hired for this position will spend a substantial portion of their time actually litigating cases on behalf of our clients. Attorneys with litigation experience in any area of law are encouraged to apply. This job could also be filled by a junior attorney at a large firm who is ready to litigate cases, but is not being afforded the opportunity to do so in their current position. 3. Experience representing tenants in eviction cases would be a plus, but is not required. Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred, but not required. 4. All applicants must exhibit a high degree of sensitivity to the problems of the low-income community and must have initiative, superior communication skills, and the ability to work well in a multi-cultural setting.
