POSITION: Staff Accountant – Accounting Dept. Requirements: 
QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; • 0-2 years of experience; • Strong accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP; • Strong Excel skills; • Strong organizational skills; • Strong initiative, problem solving skills; • Nonprofit experience preferred; • Knowledge of fund accounting preferred; • Experience with Abila MIP-fund accounting software preferred; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and • Willingness to work beyond a minimum 8.0 hour workday to ensure project completion.   EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: • Responsible for grant billing for assigned grants; • Responsible for financial reporting to funder for assigned grants; • Prepare and input journal entries; • Prepare and/or review complete bank reconciliations for all accounts in timely and efficient manner; • Prepare general ledger account analyses as required; • Prepare accurate and timely monthly variance analyses as required; • Assist the CFO, Director of Fiscal Management, and/or Accounting Manager with special projects as required. • Assist with preparation for annual audit as required; and • Open to cross-training for other accounting cycles (e.g., Payroll, Accounts Payable)
