Special Projects Manager (Right to Counsel Workgroup)

Right to Counsel Workgroup: LAFLA is part of the Right to Counsel Coalition which is comprised of dozens of legal services organizations and tenant organizing community based organizations. LAFLA is the lead organization of the County of Los Angeles Eviction Defense Program, and a participant in the County of Los Angeles Emergency Eviction Prevention Program.


LAFLA is currently accepting applications for the position of Special Projects Manager.

Requirements: 

QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA/BS degree and a minimum of 3 years experience managing projects in a nonprofit environment;
• Strong administrative skills and self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision in an effective and efficient manner;
• Demonstrated database skills; ability to learn multiple database systems used by government agencies and partner organizations;
• Ability to work in collaboration with legal service providers, community based organizations, and government agencies.
• Self-starter with initiative to overcome obstacles and recommend solutions to problems; and
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines without sacrificing quality.


EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
• Co-manage the implementation of the Los Angeles County Eviction Defense Program along with the Managing Attorney;
• Responsible for monitoring grant outcomes and coordinating with all project subcontractors to ensure the project meets its grant deliverables;
• Manage all data and reports for the project by developing efficient systems to collect data and produce timely reports;
• Liaise with Right to Counsel Coalition, Liberty Hill, and individual legal services programs and community based organizations; and
• Other duties as needed.
