Pro Bono Support (Legal Secretary)
We are seeking a full-time Legal Secretary available to work out of the firm’s Knoxville office in support of the Pro Bono Project, our volunteer attorney program. Through strong partnerships with individual volunteer attorneys, law firms, bar associations, and other partner agencies, the Pro Bono Project has addressed over 10,000 legal issues since 2010.
This position will be responsible for a broad range of administrative tasks including client screening and intake, drafting correspondence and other documents, creating and managing files, communicating with clients and volunteers, assisting with preparation and execution of events, and performing other duties as needed. Candidates should possess cultural sensitivity for the communities we serve and the courage to reflect and uphold the mission and values of LAET.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.
Salary: Dependent upon experience, from $27,442 for entry level candidates, higher for each year of experience thereafter. LAET offers a generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, retirement, and paid leave.
