Legal Aid of Western Missouri is seeking a full-time paralegal in the Warrensburg office. The person hired will assist staff attorneys with orders of protection and general domestic relations litigation. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, completing intake interviews for general domestic relations cases; meeting with and fact-interviewing clients; assisting in drafting motions and other court documents; attending and participating in training and community outreach; working with local victim advocates and other legal professionals; and generally providing support to multiple staff attorneys.

Starting at $29,250 + DOE

The qualified candidate must have the following: two or four-year degree, or substantial related legal experience; excellent written and oral communication skills; and a desire to assist in the delivery of high quality legal assistance to low income people with domestic relations problems.
