Managing Attorney (Economic Security)
The Legal Aid Society is seeking to add a Managing Attorney to the Economic Security Department. This is a management level role reporting to the Advocacy Director and overseeing the daily operations of the Economic Stability and Government Benefits units. The ideal candidate will show a strong interest in serving low-income individuals in our community. The position is full time with benefits. Salary is dependent upon experience in conformance with the agency’s policies.

- Supervise, coordinate, and advocate for the work of the Economic Stability Department, by—
- Working with the Advocacy Director to set priorities and develop work plans that balance impact work, individual client service work, community engagement, and outreach to eligible clients;

Reviewing incoming cases and advocacy opportunities based on department priorities and assigning appropriate cases and matters to staff;

Supporting training and professional/leadership development needs of staff,

Conducting regular quality reviews of work product and processes;

Conducting annual reviews and providing ongoing mentoring of department staff,

Working with program management to implement new programs and communicate the impact of the Department’s work to stakeholders;

Providing regular reporting to and serving as the primary point of contact for grants and programs administered by the department; and

Learning about and applying innovative and collaborative models of management and leadership.
