Managing Attorney

Legal Aid of Western Missouri (LAWMO) is seeking a Managing Attorney for their St. Joseph office. The Managing Attorney will supervise a staff of four attorneys and four paralegals in an office that provides civil legal services to an eighteen county area in northwest Missouri. The managing attorney will be responsible for all aspects of the St. Joseph office and will work under the supervision of the Deputy Executive Director; carry a minimal caseload; participate in community outreach; works in conjunction with the Director of Development on fundraising events and grant management for the office.

Qualifications: Missouri licensed attorney; valid driver’s license; minimum of four years experience practicing law; prior supervisory/management experience preferred; and a demonstrated interest in public service work.
