Managing Attorney

Description:

Northwest Justice Project (NJP) is Washington State’s largest civil legal aid provider and operates as a statewide law firm.
Washington State is fortunate to have a legislature that understands the importance of civil legal aid and takes meaningful action, including ground breaking legislation in Washington - making it the first state in the country to create a statewide right to counsel in eviction cases.

If NJP and Washington State are aligned with your career goals, we welcome your application for Managing Attorney of our Wenatchee office. As the Managing Attorney you will be part of the management team of a dynamic civil legal aid organization serving low-income communities.

NJP provides free legal assistance to address fundamental human needs such as housing, family safety, healthcare, education, and more.

The Managing Attorney is responsible for the overall management of the Wenatchee office and its satellite locations in Omak and Quincy, WA., and supports carrying out the program’s vision, mission, Strategic Plan and other initiatives and goals. The core work includes effective client-centered advocacy and robust outreach to and partnerships with our client communities. This position offers significant opportunity for professional growth and development within a larger statewide legal aid program.

Located at the center of Washington State, Wenatchee showcases its bounty of natural beauty. Wenatchee offers rich cultural and recreational opportunities with lots of beautiful parks and trails.

NJP has adopted the Washington Race Equity and Justice Initiative (REJI) and is organizationally committed to fight racism and to incorporate equity and inclusion in our advocacy work and our internal systems and work environment. NJP expects all staff to uphold the REJI commitments and approach their role with a desire to learn and grow in this area.
