Investigations Coordinator
Alaska Legal Services Corporation (ALSC) has an opening for a full-time (35 hours/week) Investigations Coordinator in the Anchorage office, starting as soon as possible, to join the team that manages ALSC’s Fair Housing Project.
ALSC’s Fair Housing Project works to eliminate illegal housing discrimination and promotes equal access to housing by providing education, outreach, technical assistance, and enforcement opportunities specifically related to federal, state, and local fair housing laws. This position’s duties and responsibilities include: implement and manage fair housing investigations, maintain accurate records of investigations, prepare clear and detailed investigative reports, recruit fair housing testers, lead fair housing tester training sessions, assist with community outreach efforts, and assist with grant reporting.
Hourly wage $22.96 to $33.38 DOE. Generous benefits and leave package provided, including partial reimbursement of relocation expenses.
Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience required. Knowledge of fair housing and other civil rights laws, as well as landlord-tenant law, is desirable. Familiarity with cross-cultural situations is preferred. Computer proficiency required (Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Internet, e-mail and data entry). Interested candidates should also have excellent organization skills and superior attention to detail.
