SENIOR ATTORNEY SALARY RANGE: $76,487 - $102,500 DOE
STAFF ATTORNEY II SALARY RANGE: $69,534-$93,182 DOE

Disability Rights California (DRC) is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the rights of Californians with disabilities. DRC works to achieve fairness and justice for people with disabilities through individual and impact litigation, state and federal policy and regulatory advocacy, and community education and training. DRC attorneys and advocates work statewide within eight issue-based practice groups.
SENIOR ATTORNEY OR STAFF ATTORNEY II– Intellectual and developmental disabilities
The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Practice Group is currently hiring both a Senior Attorney (Sacramento office) and a Staff Attorney 2 (statewide). The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Practice Group is a statewide team of attorneys specializing in the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Medicaid Act, and other state and federal laws. We work at the cutting edge of disability-rights advocacy, public policy and legal representation to help our clients obtain meaningful work at a competitive wage, challenge disability discrimination by public entities, avoid institutionalization, and access regional center services in home and community based settings.
QUALIFICATIONS SENIOR ATTORNEY
- Juris Doctor degree (JD) plus 5 or more years related experience as an attorney in the practice of public interest law and/or representing clients in administrative hearings and litigation.
- Experience supervising or mentoring attorneys and legal assistants.
QUALIFICATIONS STAFF ATTORNEY II
Juris Doctor degree (JD) plus 3 or more years related experience as an attorney in the practice of public interest law and/or representing clients in administrative hearings and litigation.
Licenses / Certificates
Must be a member of the California State Bar, or eligible to practice under the Registered Legal Services Attorney Program
