Executive Assistant
Job Duties • Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to the Executive Director. • Management of complex calendars and scheduling logistics. • Performs clerical and administrative tasks, including drafting letters, memos, reports, and other documents for the E.D. • Assists in preparation for meetings, including composing agendas, assembling preparatory materials, taking notes, recording minutes, and attending meetings on behalf of the E.D. • Receives incoming communication or memos on behalf of E.D., reviews contents, determines importance, and summarizes and/or distributes contents to appropriate staff. • Provides support to Board of Directors, including mailings and assistance as it pertains to meetings. • Provides clerical and administrative support for hiring and onboarding processes. • Performs additional duties as assigned by E.D., including special projects that require extensive research or problem-solving.
Location: Charlottesville, VA. Please note: LAJC employees are working remotely through at least June 2021. We are eager to provide a welcoming virtual environment for all who apply, although the position is required to be on-site when the office re-opens.
Salary: Salary range is $45,000 to $65,000 based on years of relevant experience and LAJC’s formal salary scale.

Preferred Qualifications • Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems. • Prior experience as an executive assistant or similar role.
