Director of Operations
Legal Services Alabama, (LSA), is one of the largest statewide law firms in Alabama. As a non-profit law firm, our mission provides free, client-centered civil legal advocacy to low-income Alabamians and collaborates with others across the state and nation to find solutions to systemic issues caused by poverty and social justice inequities.
LSA seeks qualified candidates to serve as Director of Operations located in the Central Office in Montgomery Alabama.
The Director of Operations is responsible to the Executive Director for the administration of a broad range of activities including the planning and oversight of internal operations of LSA. This includes Human Resources & Benefits Administration, coordinating hiring, drafting, and administering personnel policies, administering contracts, addressing employee grievances, coordinating staff training, overseeing performance management, building maintenance and leases. The Director of Operations is a member of the Executive team.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher. Five or more years of work experience in legal or non-profit administration, human resources, or related field.
Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills required.
Ability to set goals and meet deadlines.
Ability to train and supervise staff in person and remote.
Spanish language proficiency desirable.
