Director of Fiscal Compliance
Description:
Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida, a non-profit law firm, has an open position for a Director of Fiscal Compliance.
JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Fiscal Compliance will provide support to the Executive Director to review and evaluate financial information.
Responsibilities:
- Review all financial information for accuracy and completeness, which includes but is not limited to the following:
- The general ledger
- Weekly cash position reports submitted to Executive Director
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Maintenance of fixed assets accounting module
- Accounts payable documents
- Cash receipts posted to the accounting system
- Monthly billing for specific contracts
- Quarterly and annual grants financial reports
- Grant budgets and management
- Grants schedule
- Develop and maintain all grant contracts files - evaluate systems and software to increase efficiency, transparency and collaboration across departments while ensuring that data solutions are scalable and long-lasting
- Ensure proper grant compliance with Federal and other grants - adherence to all applicable accounting rules, funding regulations and policies, including the detailed and accurate reporting against grant and Legal Service Corporation (LSC) funding
- Monthly balances of client trust accounts
- Prepare documents for external auditors to ensure a clean opinion
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- CPA preferred
- 5 years’ experience in non-profit accounting experience preferred
- Accufund accounting system experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read and analyze financial reports.
- Must live in the tri-county area
- Must be fully vaccinated
Compensation/Benefits:
- Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000 annual base range (DOE)
