The Virginia Legal Aid Society, Inc. is seeking a motivated, hard-working, and independent Director of Administration. This is an exciting and fast-paced position that involves financial, human resource, technology, facility and information management in its Lynchburg, Virginia office. An individual in this position will have the opportunity to support real and immediate impacts in the lives of low-income members of the community while working in a flexible and collegial office environment staffed with other professionals committed to improving the lives of those in poverty.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Director of Administration provides leadership and management in the financial and administrative operations of a non-profit law firm with five offices that serve communities in south central Virginia. The Director of Administration is responsible for directing and maintaining the daily operations of accounting and finance, human resources, technology, facilities, and information management. The Director of Administration actively participates in fundraising and strategic planning for the organization.
COMPENSATION:
Employment classification: Full-time permanent employee exempt from the wage and hour provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act
Hiring salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 depending upon experience

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred: Proficiency with Microsoft programs, especially Access
