Attorney (Health Care Access)
Legal Services of New Jersey, a statewide non-profit organization that coordinates the state’s Legal Services system, providing free legal representation in civil matters to people with low incomes, seeks an excellent attorney for a new position in its Health Care Access Project. Position responsibilities will include legal representation, policy analysis, advocacy, training, of counsel guidance to Legal Services staff statewide, writing for both Legal Services staff and the client-eligible community, and other related activities. The attorney will provide legal representation in such matters as Medicaid and other NJ FamilyCare programs, Charity Care, commercial insurance, managed care and other access to healthcare issues for the uninsured. Spanish fluency is a plus.
