Description: 

Alaska Legal Services Corporation seeks a full-time (35hrs/week) attorney for its Dillingham office, serving Bristol Bay Native Association’s member tribes, tribal members and other ALSC-eligible clients. This position can be classified as a staff attorney or supervising attorney, depending on experience.

The attorney will handle direct service cases, impact litigation, and engage in outreach. The position requires excellent written and verbal advocacy skills, and the ability to both work independently and collaborate with others and a willingness to travel occasionally to remote villages without standard accommodations. A successful applicant will have a commitment to serving low-income communities and the ability to communicate effectively cross-culturally.

Requirements: 

Minimum of three years legal experience required for the supervising attorney position. All applicants must be admitted to practice law in Alaska or eligible for an Alaska Rule 43 waiver (see http://www.alaskabar.org).

 

To Apply: 

Salary: $74,112 - $103,008 per year DOE for supervising attorney, and $69,408 - $96,336 per year DOE for staff attorney. Generous leave and benefits, including partial reimbursement of relocation expenses.
