The Statewide Advocacy Support Unit of Maryland Legal Aid announces a full-time administrative assistant position available to qualified applicants. Description: Perform secretarial, clerical and administrative functions in a law office. Duties include, but are not limited to, greeting clients and visitors, answering multi-phone lines, taking messages, data entry, drafting client letters, filing paper and electronic pleadings; creating and maintaining client and general business files, processing incoming and outgoing mail, using multifunction copier/scanner/print/fax machines, typing legal documents and general correspondence using Windows based word processing software, performing general office duties assigned by the office manager and other duties as assigned.
 

Requirements: 

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalency with at least five years of experience in a professional office setting; ability to manage one’s time while working independently and as a team player; reliable self-starting individual with excellent verbal and written communications skills; personable demeanor; knowledge of and experience with appropriate office procedures; competence with technology, particularly Microsoft Office; detailed-oriented multi-tasker with superior organizational skills.
