What Do We Know About Executive Director Leadership Challenges

Challenges Present and Future -- Survey Monkey Results from the MIE Executive Director Tenure and Transition Survey In June and July 2006, Management Information Exchange invited legal aid executive directors to respond to a survey on tenure and transition. These executive directors are in programs which are current, former or potential subscribers to MIE's services - a group of approximately 475 executive directors. Of this group, 115 executive directors responded. The survey consisted of thirty-two questions, some multiple choice, some open-ended, some both. It was developed on SurveyMonkey, an online electronic survey program, and circulated via an emailed hyperlink to potential respondents. Survey questions were developed using models of similar theme for national and New England nonprofit associations. This pdf document contains the results of the survey. Survey results will be summarized and published in the winter 2006 MIE Journal.
