As part of our Opening Plenary: Dawn Jones
Dawn worked in various hospital ICU settings as a critical care registered nurse in her first career, gaining fourteen years of critical care nursing experience before pursuing a law degree. After practicing law for 15 years on the defense side with one of Atlanta’s premier law firms, King & Spalding, Dawn established The Firm of Dawn M. Jones, LLC to obtain justice for clients and their families for injuries or loss of life.
Dawn is the President-Elect of the Georgia State Bar, and is the recipient of the 2017 Commitment to Equality Award presented by the Bar.

Dawn also has a long history with the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, first working on the Advisory Council for Legal Aid’s Health Law Partnership, a medical-legal collaborative with Children’s Hospital of Atlanta and Georgia State School of Law. She then moved on to Legal Aid’s Board of Directors and became the President of the Board. She continues to maintain a passion for Legal Aid’s work serving low income people in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Also in our Opening Plenary: Cathy Carr
Catherine C. Carr is a consultant to legal aid organizations and their leaders across the country, assisting with issues such as program structure, evaluation, service delivery, and strategic planning, with an emphasis on building effective, creative and self-reflective organizations. She is the immediate past Executive Director of Community Legal Services, the largest civil legal aid provider in Philadelphia, a position she held for twenty years following thirteen years as a public benefits attorney. She is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and School of Social Work and Social Policy, and coordinates the NLADA Strategic Advocacy Initiative. She is a member and past president of the MIE Board and serves on the MIE Journal Committee along with foundation, bar, and government boards and task forces in Philadelphia. 

Lending his expertise to our session on collective bargaining: Henry Warnock
Henry Warnock devotes his practice to employment litigation and traditional labor law, with a particular focus on the healthcare and technology industries. Henry guides clients through all facets of traditional labor law, including collective bargaining negotiations, unfair labor practice cases before the National Labor Relations Board, union organizing campaigns, arbitration, and picketing. 

Henry leads FordHarrison's pro bono legal employment support for Habitat for Humanity. He is also on the Atlanta Legal Aid Society's Advisory Committee and is the Co-Chair of Atlanta Legal Aid's Young Lawyer's Club.

And leading our discussion of employment law rules and regulations: Chandra Davis
Chandra C. Davis is a co-founding partner of The Employment Law Solution: McFadden Davis, LLC (ELS) and has been practicing employment law for over 16 years. She has extensive experience as a management side lawyer and as a Trial Attorney for the EEOC.  Ms. Davis also clerked for two federal judges. 
Chandra is an effective negotiator, mediator, labor and employment law advisor, trainer and litigator. She is a registered mediator and has mediated a variety of matters at the Agency and litigation stages. Chandra has developed and facilitated training programs for the EEOC, state government, and multi-national corporations.
