The news has been constantly evolving over the past few years about student loans -- forbearance periods, public service loan forgiveness changes, repayment plan updates, and more! Heather Jarvis, Student Loan Expert, shares information you should know about the current state of student loans, and how current approaches to repayment and forgiveness should inform the hiring and support of your program's younger attorneys. 

Heather Jarvis is an attorney and a nationally recognized expert specializing in student loan law. She has provided award-winning student loan education and consultation for universities, associations and professional advisors since 2005. Heather recently completed service as Advisor to the United States Department of Education’s negotiated rulemaking committee on Affordability and Student Aid. Heather graduated cum laude from Duke University School of Law and is co-founder and Executive Director of the nonprofit Fosterus.

Each registration fee covers one participant.

MIE Subscribers or NLADA members: No charge
Non-subscribers: $25

Registration Information & Policies
Registration fees are non-refundable. MIE will provide a credit for the full amount of the registration fee, which may be used by any staff at your organization for any future MIE events (trainings, conferences, webinars) or MIE subscription payments. Credits do not expire. An event registration may be transferred to a colleague at the same program prior to the start of the event at no additional cost. Please notify MIE of substitutions as soon as possible. If a registration transfer is not practicable, credit will be provided instead. Registrants who do not cancel before the start of an event will not be credited, however, they will receive access to the event materials.
