Who Should Attend the MIE National Conference for Legal Services Administrators: This conference is for you if you work in a legal assistance program serving low-income clients, and if your duties include some of the broad range of administrative functions: benefits administration, human resources, training, technology and general office management.
What's Covered: Topics expected to be covered at the conference: employment law, reasonable accommodation, wellness and ACA reporting updates; communicating effectively to internal and external audiences using social media; using data effectively to understand, improve and communicate the effectiveness of your work; planning for key staff transitions; protecting against data breaches and purchasing cyber insurance; retaining talented staff with telework, a commitment to diversity, and local and statewide strategies; avoiding salary and professional development stagnation; HR roundtable; identifying and developing the skills of the HR staff member; taking your administrative office paperless.
Who Should Attend the LSC TIG Conference: TIG recipients, IT staff, project managers, executive directors, legal services administrators, website coordinators, document assembly developers and project managers, attorneys, pro bono coordinators, academics, judges, software vendors, or anyone with an interest in how to use technology in the delivery of legal services.
What's Covered: Session topics will cover a range of issues such as how the use of technology can enhance internal legal services operations, improve client services, address access and triage issues and effectively provide legal information to low-income people. Sessions will also cover management of TIG projects, including reporting and evaluation requirements.

Registration Fees: Anyone may attend either the TIG conference or the MIE Administrators conference. For early bird rates, register by November 20. (applies to both LSC and MIE conferences). Early bird registration for each is $420 until November 20, 2015. Regular registration is $450 for each conference.

MIE conference registration includes continental breakfast, lunch and afternoon breaks on Tuesday and Wednesday and high speed internet. TIG conference registration includes continental breakfast, lunch each day, afternoon breaks, one evening reception and high speed internet.
