MIE offers consulting services to the executive directors and managers of programs which provide legal services to the poor.
MIE Listservs
MIE maintains several listservs for Executive Directors, Deputy Directors, Fundraisers, Administrators, Managers, and those in Finance roles and DEI roles. This unique communications network among legal services managers enables the community to have robust discussions about common issues, informally share information, documents, and policies that are of interest to managers, ask sensitive questions of and receive candid answers from management level colleagues, and generally permit MIE members to communicate with one another in a secure and safe environment.

Executive Director Search
MIE has served as search consultant to the Boards of Directors of more than a dozen legal aid programs, with budgets ranging in size from $2 million to $20 million. MIE can refer you to a highly experienced consultant to provide this service. Search services include consultation with board and staff on values and vision for the organization, qualities and experiences needed in the next executive, compensation review, candidate screening and selection assistance, and post-hire planning. An MIE consultant will conduct an extensive search through outreach to legal aid program staff and related public interest networks. Services can be tailored to the particular needs of your organization. Also contact MIE for assistance with searches for senior staff members such as the deputy director, director of advocacy, or director of development.
