VLP Seeks Senior Family Law Attorney
The Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association (VLP) seeks an attorney with a minimum of five years of experience in family law to head the Family Law Unit (overseen by the Chief Counsel), supervise staff attorneys and interns, and provide support to the pro bono panel. In this position, the successful candidate will play a significant role, working with the senior leadership team, in shaping the direction of the Family Law Unit and contributing to the development of programs and policies to enhance VLP's delivery of services to clients and volunteers. VLP represents low-income people in the Greater Boston area on a variety of civil legal problems, including family and guardianship law, housing, unemployment benefits, and consumer/bankruptcy. Most cases are referred to members of the pro bono panel, with VLP providing training and ongoing support. Other clients are advised or represented by members of the VLP staff.
