Supervising Attorney-Abuse Investigation Unit

Description: 

We seek a Supervising Attorney for our Abuse Investigation Unti. This position will focus on providing legal advocacy services to address abuse, neglect and violations of the fundamental rights of people with mental illness by providing legal advocacy in hospitals, nursing homes and other care settings, and by representing individuals in administrative hearings and state and federal court proceedings. The Supervising Attorney will also supervise the development and implementation of strategies for litigation cases within the Investigation Unit under guidance of the Unit Director.

Requirements: 

The selected candidate must have a law degree, 10+ years litigation experience, and a commitment to the civil rights of people with disabilities.  As we are a statewide organization, travel and a valid driver’s license are required.
