Job Description Project Manager - Hartford Equal Justice Collaborative Statewide Legal Services of Ct, Inc. . This position will be an attorney responsible for the coordination and training for the provider education forums on the On-line Intake System and poverty law . The position will act as a "point person" after the trainings for future inquiries about online intake and legal maters. Pro Bono attorneys, in collaboration with the Connecticut Women's Education and Advocacy Law Fund, will be recruited, trained and coordinated to assist on-line applicants. Cases coming into SLS from the Hartford Equal Justice Collaborative will be tracked by this positon, who will be collaborating closely with CWEALF on the evaluation component. Specific duties include: -organizing and leading provider legal education forums in collaboration with LARCC; - training public providers and the collaborative team on the use of the On-Line Intake System; - serving as SLS point person with social service and public provider inquiries regarding client applicants , SLS services and alternative community services. -overseeing SLS intake staff and paralegal volunteers to process online applications and work with applicants to ensure the appropriate level of referrals and services; -devising necessary systems and strategies within SLS to ensure quality control during all phases of services provided; - recruiting , training and coordinating Pro Bono lawyers in collaboration with SLS’s pro bono unit and CWEALF - collecting SLS data and collaborate with CWEALF on the use of the data for evaluation purposes. - Attend monthly meetings with the collaborative team to discuss the project activities. Salary: $47,000 - $60,000 depending on experience.
Desired qualifications include: Ct. license to practice law in good standing; Minimum 3 years experience practice experience in non-transactional law. Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills, good writing ability, and organizational skills; Familiarity with Hartford court system. Some knowledge of family, landlord –tenant and/or public benefits law. Ability to plan and work independently and collaboratively.. Working knowledge of social media and Windows-based computer systems. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Fluency in Spanish.
