Managing Attorney - Housing & Consumer Protection
The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii, a non-profit law firm, seeks a Managing Attorney for the Consumer Protection and Housing Unit of our Honolulu office. Responsibilities include client representation, staff supervision, community outreach, grant management, and participation in overall program management as a member of the statewide management team.
Applicants must be member in good standing of the Bar of the State of Hawaii or a member in good standing in another state and willing to sit for the next available Hawaii bar exam. Litigation experience and a desire to serve the community are required. Management or supervisory experience and experience in the following are strongly preferred: Landlord/Tenant, Public Housing, Bankruptcy, Consumer Protection, Foreclosure, and/or Fair Housing. Demonstrable commitment to or experience with disadvantaged and/or low-income population or and issues affecting low-income populations strongly preferred.
