Justice Technology Specialist

Description: 

The Center for Arkansas Legal Services is seeking a qualified individual to be its Justice Technology Specialist. The Center is a nonprofit corporation which provides free legal assistance to low-income persons. The Center has six offices with approximately 45 employees, including 25 attorneys.

This position’s primary focus is the management of a large online catalogue with multiple formats of content and the platforms that delivers the content. Key duties will include: maintenance and expansion of the Arkansas Legal Services Online website; maintenance and expansion of automated legal documents; and other ongoing justice technology projects.

Other duties include: expansion of the current content catalogue with quality content ready for online/print publication in multiple formats; drafting and managing technology grants; and support for the online users.

 

Requirements: 

 Must have 2-5 years hands-on experience developing and managing websites and be technically uninhibited in learning new technologies; Minimum of an undergraduate degree; law degree is not required, but applicant must be familiar with legal services; and a passion for the concept of access to justice for all. Background in online media development; journalism; legal writing or other content production fields is preferred. Experience with Drupal, HotDocs, and other internet based technologies desired.
