IT Systems Manager

Description: 

The Center for Arkansas Legal Services seeks a professional individual to be its Information Systems Manager.  The Center is a nonprofit corporation which provides free legal assistance to low-income persons.  The Center has six offices with approximately 45 employees, including 25 attorneys.

The information systems manager is responsible for all telecommunication and computer services, hardware, software, help desk services, network administration, Internet, user training and support for the organization.  This position oversees the development, implementation, and the use of technology throughout the firm, working closely with the executive director, the business manager, the executive assistant, and other staff.  Travel will be required.

Qualifications: 

Must have 2-5 years hands-on experience with Local and Wide Area Networks. Server experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 using Active Directory, Exchange Server 2007, and SQL Server is needed.  Hardware experience with Cisco LAN/WAN equipment needed. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional applications, WordPerfect Office applications, and other desktop applications needed. The ability to support and maintain a web based content management system and the applications that support a website a plus.  Database experience required, including Access. 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field desired. 

Applicants must have a broad knowledge of emerging technologies to provide guidance and expertise in aligning the organization’s short and long-term IT needs with its strategic goals and objectives, and must have the interest and ability to grow with the job.  Good communication and organizational skills are required.  Ability to meet deadlines, to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products, and to take initiative in the development and completion of projects. 

Strong project management, organizational and time management skills. Excellent problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skills. Ability to organize, prioritize, and work independently. Ability to convey highly technical procedures in simple terms, have good interpersonal skills and must be able to travel by car.
