Intake Staff Attorney
Indiana (the ILS Indianapolis Branch Office or virtual intake also makes it possible to conduct intakes from home or a site other than an ILS location)
Indiana Legal Services (ILS) is a nonprofit law firm that provides free civil legal services to low-income, elderly, and disabled individuals. We are currently seeking one (1) part-time (.5 FTE) attorney. Duties include, but are not limited to, providing legal advice to prospective clients calling in to our statewide Intake line; screening applicants for eligibility for services; referring callers for appropriate services; and drafting advice letters.
NOTE: Preference will be given to applicants who are available Monday – Friday
from 10:00am-2:00pm ET
1. Licensed to practice law in Indiana
2. A minimum of 5 years of legal experience
3. Excellent organizational and communication skills
4. Computer literate
5. Willing to learn the ILS case management software (Legal Files)
