Description: 

 

This position reports to the Executive Director and has overall responsibility for strategic, long term initiatives, in the Human Resources Department. Ensures the use of best practices when performing a variety of human resources work and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements: 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

(Applicants MUST meet EACH of the minimum qualifications to be considered for an interview.)

 

  1. BA or BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field with PHR/SPHR. Master's degree in Human Resources, may be substituted for the PHR/SPHR.

 

  1. Ten years progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, including five years supervisory/management experience.

 

  1. Experience with Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software.

 

  1. Direct work experience in Microsoft Office, including extensive use of Word and Excel.

 

  1. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, including ability to give effective presentations. 

 

  1. Experience in conflict resolution and team-building and ability to analyze complex problems and effectively advise and work with supervisors in handling complex personnel issues.

 

  1. Experience and ability to work effectively with a variety of organizations and individuals with diverse perspectives and to maintain confidentiality in all matters.

 

  1. Experience in full cycle benefit renewal process including Insurance Broker Request for Proposals, benefit plan design, cost analysis, employee communication and open enrollment.

 

  1. Experience with 401(k) Plan administration, including oversight of Plan documents, leading internal discussions and meetings, Request for Proposal of Plan Advisors, and employee communication related to the 401(k) Plan.

 

  1. Extensive knowledge of and experience working with employment laws.

 

  1. Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.

 

  1. Experience working with or sensitivity to individuals with disabilities.

 

  1. Experience working with or sensitivity to individuals from ethnic and language distinct communities.
