Director of Finance
Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS), a large not-for-profit organization providing free legal assistance to low-income people, seeks a Director of Finance. This senior position reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors and the Board Treasurer. Primary responsibilities include: strategic fiscal planning; maintaining external financial relationships; managing all fiscal aspects of GBLS, including comptroller responsibilities; and supervising Accounting Department staff and the Director of Operations.

An MBA or undergraduate degree in accounting or finance with 10+ years of professional experience in management level positions, preferably in the nonprofit arena; knowledge of GAAP standards and regulatory requirements; experience in financial planning and forecasting; and experience running an accounting department. The ideal candidate will be flexible and have a demonstrated capacity to work in an environment that values mutual respect.
