Permanent Part-time Associate for Nonprofit Organization

Management Information Exchange (MIE) seeks a part-time Associate for Subscriber Relations and Marketing.  MIE is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote excellence in management among civil legal aid organizations to ensure high quality advocacy on behalf of low income people. MIE advances best practices and innovation in leadership, management, supervision and fundraising through its training, consulting, website and Journal.

The Associate works directly with the Executive Director, meeting one day per week in MIE’s Boston office, then completing the remainder of duties from a home office, for a total of 20 to 25 hours weekly. 

Major responsibilities of the Associate include managing invoices and receivables in QuickBooks, maintaining sizeable subscriber databases, and providing substantial year-round conference and training marketing and registration support.

Requirements: 

The Associate must be proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe; and be comfortable using various online programs for updating the Drupal website, creating surveys, managing documents, and carrying out typical administrative tasks.

The ideal Associate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be deadline and detail-oriented and well-organized.  The Associate must be able to work independently and allow for flexibility in schedule.
